Rowland McGabhann

Rowland McGabhann CPEI, APS, is a Physical Education Instructor with a life-long dedication to sports and physical fitness, with an incredible life story to go with it.

A former Irish national and international sporting champion, stuntman in many major films, and entrepreneur, he has lived and competed in some of the most exotic places in the world. To do this, he had to overcome a tough upbringing in the rough neighbourhoods of postwar Dublin.

His sports achievements include:

  • Boxing – Irish state champion
  • Barefoot Water-Skiing
    • undefeated Irish champion for 10 years
    • held the European jump record, ranked in top 10 in Europe and competed in 4 successive world championships
  • Martial Arts – twenty years experience, holding a 3rd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do

A rare crippling disease that immobilised his limbs in his mid-twenties brought his world championship career to an abrupt halt. Doctors advised him that he would at best regain 60% of the use of his arms and legs, and would never compete again. Within two years, Rowland defied the odds and not only taught himself to walk again, but to compete and beat his peers.

Rowland has a natural ability to teach individuals and teams how to motivate and empower themselves through the way that they apply his tried and proven physio-mental © techniques to their personal and professional lives.

A member of the National Speakers Association of Australia (NSAA) APS (Accredited Professional Speaker), Rowland delivers powerful life changing, yet lighthearted, presentations. Combining the principles of martial arts and mental focus, his audiences learn how to create powerful images for success and achievement.

Rowland’s audiences enjoy his natural Irish charm, as he relates stories of adventure and excitement on a personal journey that many can only
dream about.
